Gifted is a side project that we've spent the past 3 months setting up. It will become a place where we can work with all the incredible people I meet online.

It’s going to be a mix of shop, blog and curated community funding platform where we can create things free from commercial restrictions.

We'll develop products that we fund ourselves but also present more complex or costly ideas to our visitors to gauge interest. That's where the the community funding side will come into play. Most ideas stumble at a financial hurdle, hopefully Gifted will allow us to realise ideas that might otherwise land in the bin.

To kick things off I brought 12 of our collaborators together to create a A3 lose-leaf calendar for our first joint project. </description>

MiaCara is a brand new label of high-quality dog accessories, designed &#38; produced with the dog and it's owner in mind. We worked closely with the client through initial logo concepts to the final identity &#38; brand guidelines as well as designing the printed materials.

The MiaCara brand is named after the clients dog Cara, a labrador which was to be included in the logo design. The M marque stood out in one of early sketches and was selected for it's simplicity that makes it instantly recognisable.

Die MiaCara Marke &#38; der Name wurden vom Hund des Kunden inpspiriert. Die Labrador Hündin Cara sollte fester Bestandteil des Logos werden. Das M signet stand bereits in frühen Skizzen hervor dank seiner einfachen Form &#38; Wiedererkennungswert.

Atelier 1A designed the online store in collaboration with information architect Sebastian Waters &#38; Web Developer Patrick Beser. The site offers customers a user friendly shopping experience, as well the option to view large background lifestyle images that directly link to the products in view.

Great photography plays a vital role in conveying the quality &#38; style of the MiaCara brand and it's products. We collaborated with photographer Malcolm Menzies to combine naturally lit animal portraits with beautiful interiors.

Europe's leading Travel Group TUI asked Atelier 1A to design a website to market &#38; sell their mobile internet USB stick, the outcome of a cooperation between TUI and Vodafone. The TUI surfstick lets you go online while you're travelling in Germany and abroad on a variety of mobile devices.

The layout of the website was pre-determined by Vodafone's base wireframe. We worked closely with TUI &#38; Vodafone to get the best result out the limited possibilities the structure allowed.

The design had also be flexible enough to work with some of TUI's other brands, such as TUIfly.

Europa's führenden Reiseveranstalter TUI erteilte Atelier 1A die Aufgabe eine Webseite für den Verkauf &#38; Vermarktung Ihres USB Surfsticks zu entwerfen. In einer Kooperation mit Vodafone bietet der TUI surfstick mobiles Internet in Deutschland und im Ausland für verschiedene mobile Geräte.

Das Layout der Seite basiert auf einer von Vodafone vorgegebenen Architektur. Wir haben eng mit TUI &#38; Vodafone zusammen gearbeitet um ein optimales Ergebnis in den Vorgaben zu realisieren.

Das Design musste zu dem ausreichend flexibel sein um für weitere TUI Marken verwendbar zu sein, wie z.B. TUIfly.

In 2010 we had the incredible opportunity to experience what most of our clients have to go through when they set up a new business.

For 6 months we took over a business start-up that would test expertise &#38; patience to their limits. When the gym next door to our studio shut down we thought it was a missed opportunity!

After 5 weeks of refurbishing (and a lot of tidying up) we opened the gym under a new name, new colours and new management. With a little help by friends in the industry, some ingenuity, an open ear to our new customers &#38; a bookkeeper that deserves a medal, we managed to reach our member targets &#38; build an incredible team to take over after we left. We now have a deeper understanding of the highs &#38; lows of a new business venture (and how to make a great protein shake). What we have experienced this year months will be integral to our work for new and existing clients.

In 2010 hatten wir die einmalige Gelegenheit zu erleben, was die meisten unserer Kunden durchmachen, wenn sie eine neue Firma gründen.

6 Monate lang traten wir in die Fußstapfen eines Existenz-Gründers und testen unser Wissen und unsere Geduld bis zum Limit. Als wir erfuhren daß das Fitnessstudio nebenan geschlossen werden sollte dachten wir uns das ist eine verpasste Chance!

Nach 5 Wochen Renovierung (und einer Menge aufräumen) öffneten wir die Türen des Sportstudios unter einem neuen Namen, neuen Farben und neuem Management. Mit ein wenig Hilfe von Freunden in der Branche, etwas Einfallsreichtum, ein offenes Ohr für unsere neuen Kunden und einen Buchhalterin (die eine Medaille verdient) gelang es uns, unsere Ziele zu erreichen &#38; ein unglaubliches Team zusammen zu stellen um unseren Platz zu übernehmen.

Heute haben wir ein tieferes Verständnis der Höhen &#38; Tiefen eines neuen Unternehmens (und wie man den perfekten Protein-Shake zubereitet). Was wir in diesem Jahr erlebt haben wird ein fester Bestandteil in unserer Arbeit für unsere bestehenden &#38; neuen Kunden sein.</description>

DentaOne is a dental health company in southern Germany producing implants, dentures and replacements to German quality standards for a fraction of the competitors price.

We were commissioned by the Dropyx Creative Network to develop concepts for the main website, online store, regional landing pages and a custom content management system with which DentaOne could offer their Dentists an easy way to build a minisite.

The illustration used throughout the main site were created by the rather talented Robert Hanson.
